There’s a lot of different tutors you can choose from. I have over 15 years’ experience helping students learn. I am also a legally registered teacher both in the U.S. and Hong Kong, and am a certified Academic Life Coach. I’ve taught Math, Science, Writing and Reading, and ESL in 6 different countries to multiple different age groups at multiple different international schools. The most effective strategy for developing long-term memory is for students to self-test, self-assess; so a large part of my tutoring style is to provide opportunities (throughout our session) for students to recall information that was taught. Secondly, as a certified Academic Life Coach, I wish to lead students to greater self-awareness (e.g. learning strengths and preferences) so that they can begin to develop the confidence and independence needed to be life-long learners.
