My name is Laura Stampf. I am 22 years old and currently studying Computer Science at the VU. My parents are both German but I was partially raised in Barcelona, Spain. In a sense, there is no one place I call "home" but rather, I can find comfort in environments where I am surrounded by people I love.

In the past, I have tutored Math, English, Physics to students between ages 8 to 15. I started tutoring when I was 16 years old and have continued to search for tutoring opportunities ever since. I have always enjoyed explaining concepts to my friends and classmates so tutoring always seemed like a logical choice to me.

I am located in Amsterdam Oost and would of course prefer closer locations. For locations further away, I don't mind taking public transport, but if this were the case, I would hope to be recompensated for public transport costs. Life in Amsterdam is quite expensive for a student so I hope you can understand my situation :)

I find teaching other students an empowering experience. One thing that is important to me is that students are able to explain their abstract thought process before applying concepts to solve an exercise. I also find it important to encourage students to "teach me" the content back as it helps build confidence and stability in their knowledge. Read less
