You can get in touch with those leads and discuss their tuition requirements and mention fees, duration, method of teaching etc.

Yes. Students are one of the most sought-after tutors on our platform. If you have recently finished your studies or currently studying, you can provide peer tutoring or mentor them from home. You can even provide support to school students with their homework. No. The decision rests upon the student or parent who has posted the job. LearnPick takes no part in the decision making. We act as a platform for facilitating the interaction between tutors and students.

No, it is not! Once you are hired by a student, you can fix your fees with your student as per your convenience.  

A tuition job has 60 days of validity on your dashboard. Only 10 tutors can apply to the job. If the application button is green, you can easily apply to the job and after application, students will instantly get a notification of your tutoring request via mail and SMS.

No. LearnPick doesn’t provide any online platform to teach. You can teach students online via. Skype, Whiteboard or other tools.

Yes, you can apply for a tuition job if the mode of learning is Online. We provide online tutoring services in the following countries:

Tuition fees will depend on the exact tuition requirement and efforts to be applied. You can discuss costs directly with the student, and we have zero intervention in your payment. Most of our tutors have an hourly charge displayed on our platform that they have entered themselves at the time of registration. Depending on that. you can directly negotiate fees with your student. 

Please collect payment from your student DIRECTLY by cash or through other modes, as per your convenience. We don't intervene in any monetary transaction between the tutor and the student.

Signing up as a tutor on LearnPick is absolutely free of cost. You can either sign up through Gmail or Facebook, or through the conventional method.

The objective of the Profile Verification Process is to avoid any misuse, fraud or misrepresentation activities while using LearnPick's services. Without doing this verification, your profile will not be live on LearnPick.

To complete the Profile Verification Process formalities, you are required to do the following steps:

• Enter your email id, after that, click on the send code button,  you will receive a 6 -digit verification code in your email box.  Enter the code in the given box of LearnPick platform. A verified badge will appear.
• Our system will ask you a mobile number, after entering your number, click on the send code button, you will receive a 6 -digit verification code as an SMS. Enter the code.

You are signed in to your LearnPick account if the verification is successful.

In this particular column, you should list your detailed experience in tutoring. This section serves as one of the tutor shortlisting criteria for students. You should try to be absolutely specific while providing all the details.

We recommend you to mention the following in brief:

• Subjects you have taught
• Teaching grades
• Total tutoring experience
• A few lines about yourself as a tutor

“I have more than 10 years of experience in the academic profession. I’ve been teaching Math to students of standards VII-XII of all boards. I conduct preparatory classes for competitive examinations as well. I coach and mentor students in Math as well as conduct weekly assessments.”

Please find below the following steps to create another subject profile for yourself.

•  "Sign In" with your login details. 
• Click on the "Profile" tab.
• Click on “Tutor Profiles” from the options on the left-hand side to see all your subject profiles. 
• Click on the "Create new profile" button at the bottom and fill up the required details to finish up the new profile.

Please find below the following steps to create another subject profile for yourself.

• "Sign In" with your login details. 
• Click on the "Profile" tab.
• Click on “Tutor Profiles” from the options on the left-hand side to see all your subject profiles. 
• Click on the “Edit” (Pencil) button. 
• Upload your recent image and click on the Save button.

Please find below the following steps to request review(s) from your student:

• "Sign In" with your login details. 
• Click on the "Reviews" tab.
• Choose the profile you want to be reviewed.
• Enter student/parent name.
• Enter the student/parent email.

We will mail them up and request for reviews. Once the procedure is completed, the reviews will be displayed along with your profile.

Here’s how you can upload a sample study note on LearnPick:

1. Sign in to your “tutor” profile.

2. Go to the “Uploads” tab.

3. Scroll down and you will come across the notes section. Click on the “Upload” button and upload your study note.

Note: The study note should always be in the .doc, .docx, or PDF format.

A sample study note can help students get a proper idea about the tutoring approach that you follow and the kind of study materials you provide.

The benefits are many:

• If students find your notes helpful, they may connect with you instantly. The more lucid your notes are, the greater your chances will be of getting students.
• The more the number of students reading your notes and connecting with you, the greater will be your profile visibility.
• Uploading notes will earn you credit points which, in turn, can boost the visibility of your profile on our platform.
• Study notes can also help in improving your tutoring credibility.

Note: Never mention any contact details in the heading, body or any part of the note.

3. You will see the PPTs column over there. Click on “Upload” to upload a PowerPoint PPT.

A PowerPoint PPT combines text and images to make the lesson interesting. This makes your tutoring approach unique and noteworthy.

For every approved PPT, you will be awarded credit points that can help to upgrade the badge of your profile, thus, widening your reach among students.

Note: Do not mention any contact details in the PowerPoint presentation you are sharing.

Here’s how you can upload a video lesson on LearnPick:

• Sign in to your “tutor” profile.
• Go to the “Uploads” tab.
• Scroll down and you will come across the "Video Lessons" section. Click on the “Upload” button and upload your study note.
• Paste your Youtube Video URL in the following box.

A video lesson is capable of giving your prospective students an idea of your teaching method and the way you handle, teach your students. This helps students to choose the right tutor. Your unique video lessons can enhance and highlight your profile, making you stand out among the crowd.

• A Video lesson to make the classes and learning interesting. This makes your tutoring approach unique and noteworthy.
• For every approved Video lesson, you will be awarded credit points that can help to upgrade the badge of your profile, thus, widening your reach among students.

You can accept a student learning request directly from your account dashboard.

1. Sign into your profile.

2. In the “Requests” tab, you will see a list of requests.

3. Click on the one of your choice.

4. Click on “Accept” or “Reject” accordingly.

Here's how you can improve your tutor profile on LearnPick:

• Upload a recent, professional-looking profile photograph. It gives your profile a face, authenticity, and reliability.
  Note- If you log in via Facebook or Gmail, your profile photo will be automatically appended. You can change it whenever you want. 
• Upload an introductory video. Introducing yourself to students in a smart video increases your chances of getting students.
• Update your educational qualifications and experience. Make sure to upload your educational certificates to prove the authenticity of your profile.
• Write an attractive tutoring approach. Your tutoring approach says a lot about you as a tutor. An effective, well-written and detailed tutoring approach will make your profile unique.
• Reviews play a major role in boosting your profile. Reviews from your previous employer/s or students will help your prospective students to get an idea about your tutoring methods and their effectiveness.
• Adding PPT Slides, Sample Study Notes and contributing Articles help in improving your chances immensely as well.
• Your profile must be complete. Leaving any section blank automatically reduces your Profile Score and consequently, your profile's visibility.
   

The profile badge is a pre-determined parameter measuring the completeness, relevance, and authenticity of your profile. There are three types of profile badge:

In addition to the sections mentioned above, the badge also depends on the following:

Mistakes are an integral part of the teaching profession. But there are some mistakes that can be eliminated from the beginning of the school year with little consideration. Here, let’s take a quick look at some of the most common, but avoidable mistakes.

1. Getting too friendly with students

Students need to feel safe in class. Your job is to create such an environment:
With the intention of obtaining this, new teachers make the most common mistake: they overdo it. They forget the line that they need to maintain between friendliness and overfriendliness.
It is always important to maintain professional distance both inside and outside the classroom. It can be obtained by:
